因僧請喫湯次，師云：「作麼生？」無對。師云：「儞問我。」僧便問，師以湯滴云：「一滴落地，萬神俱醉。會麼？」僧云：「不會。」師云：「不會即禮拜著。」

When a monk invited him to take hot water, the Master said, "What about it?" There was no answer. The Master said, "You ask me." The monk then asked. The Master dripped hot water and said, "One drop falls to the ground, and ten thousand spirits are all intoxicated. Do you understand?" The monk said, "I do not understand." The Master said, "If you do not understand, make prostrations."
