師行次，一僧隨後行，師竪起拳云：「如許大栗子，喫得幾箇？」僧云：「和尚莫錯。」師云：「是儞錯。」僧云：「莫壓良為賤。」師云：「靜處薩婆訶。」

While the Master was walking, a monk followed behind him. The Master raised his fist and said, "With a chestnut this big, how many can you eat?" The monk said, "Upādhyāya, do not be mistaken." The Master said, "It is you who are mistaken." The monk said, "Do not oppress the respectable into servitude." The Master said, "Svāhā in a quiet place!"
