因僧齋歸，師問齋主：「有什麼供養？」僧竪起拳，師云：「我這裏問儞即恁麼，僧堂前有人問儞，作麼生道？」僧云：「一切臨時。」師云：「學語之流。」

When a monk returned from a vegetarian meal, the Master asked the meal donor, "What offering was there?" The monk raised his fist. The Master said, "I ask you here and you act like this; if someone asks you in front of the monks' hall, what will you say?" The monk said, "Everything accords with the occasion." The Master said, "One of the sort that parrots words."
