師問僧：「儞作什麼？」僧云：「涅槃頭。」師云：「還有不病者麼？」僧云：「不會。」師云：「恁麼不會？不恁麼不會？」僧無語。師云：「汝問我。」僧便問：「作麼生是不病者？」師指傍僧。

The Master asked a monk, "What do you do?" The monk said, "Infirmary steward." The Master said, "Is there anyone who is not sick?" The monk said, "I do not understand." The Master said, "Do you not understand in this way, or do you not understand in that way?" The monk was silent. The Master said, "You ask me." The monk then asked, "Who is the one who is not sick?" The Master pointed to a monk beside him.
