師問堂中首座云：「儞道乾坤大地與汝自己同別？」首座云：「同。」師云：「一切物命蛾蛘蟻子與儞自己同別？」首座云：「同。」師云：「儞為什麼干戈相待？」

The Master asked the head monk in the hall, "Do you say heaven, earth, and the great universe are the same as or different from yourself?" The head monk said, "The same." The Master said, "Are all living beings, moths, gnats, and ants the same as or different from yourself?" The head monk said, "The same." The Master said, "Why do you treat each other with shields and spears?"
