3.27

因齋次，問僧：「羹受飯裏，飯受羹裏，過在什麼處？道得別有商量。」無對。代云：「好羹好飯。」又云：「不可道和尚蝦蟇窟裏。」

During a meal, he asked a monk, "Soup is received into the rice, and rice is received into the soup; where is the fault? If you can speak, there will be another discussion." There was no reply. Answering on his behalf, he said, "Good soup, good rice." He also said, "One cannot say the upādhyāya is in a toad's den."
