因見龍藏字，問僧：「龍藏出得箇什麼？」無對。師云：「爾問，我與爾道。」僧便問，師云：「出箇死蝦蟇。」代云：「屎臭氣」。又云：「饅頭蒸餅。」

Seeing the characters 'Dragon Canon', he asked a monk, "What comes out of the dragon canon?" There was no reply. The Master said, "Ask, and I will tell you." The monk then asked, and the Master said, "A dead toad comes out." Answering on his behalf, he said, "The smell of shit." He also said, "Steamed buns and cakes."
