3.45

問僧：「看什麼經？」僧應喏，師云：「因什失却？」僧云：「某甲甚處失却？」師云：「自領出去。」代云：「同路。」又云：「和尚大人，不合自作。」

He asked a monk, "What sūtra are you reading?"
The monk responded, "Yes."
The Master said, "Why have you lost it?"
The monk said, "Where did I lose it?"
The Master said, "Take yourself out."
Answering on their behalf, [the Master] said, "Walking the same road."
He also said, "The Upādhyāya is a great man; he ought not to do it himself."
