3.48

問僧：「看什麼經？」僧云：「《瑜伽論》。」師云：「為甚義墮？」僧云：「什麼處義墮？」師云：「自領出去。」代云：「悔不先下手。」

He asked a monk, "What treatise are you reading?"
The monk said, "The Yogācārabhūmi-śāstra."
The Master said, "Why have you fallen into doctrine?"
The monk said, "Where have I fallen into doctrine?"
The Master said, "Take yourself out."
Answering on their behalf, [the Master] said, "I regret not striking first."
