3.65

因僧在師前立，以拄杖打一下，其僧迴首，師展手云：「把錢來。」無對。代云：「若不轉頭，爭知後事。」又云：「但驀面唾。」

Because a monk was standing in front of him, the Master struck him once with his staff. The monk turned his head, and the Master reached out his hand, saying, "Bring money!"
There was no reply.
Answering on their behalf, [the Master] said, "If one does not turn one's head, how can one know what follows?"
He also said, "Just spit right in his face."
