3.66

因入厨，問茱頭云：「鍋裏多少茄子？」無對。師云：「爾問我，與爾道。」僧便問，師云：「消不得。」代云：「一桶。」又代後語云：「是。」

Entering the kitchen, he asked the vegetable master, "How many eggplants are in the pot?"
There was no reply.
The Master said, "You ask me, and I will tell you."
The monk then asked, and the Master said, "Cannot digest them."
Answering on their behalf, [the Master] said, "One bucket."
Also answering on behalf of the latter statement, he said, "Yes."
