3.84

師因普請入柴寮，云：「老底不用去，還有老底麼？」僧云：「有。」師云：「在什麼處？」僧乃推出一僧，師云：「這箇猶是後生。」無對。代云：「若與麼，却普請去始得。」

The Master entered the firewood shed during general work and said, "Those who are old need not go. Are there any old ones?"
A monk said, "There are."
The Master said, "Where are they?"
The monk then pushed forward a monk. The Master said, "This one is still a youngster."
There was no reply.
Answering on their behalf, he said, "If so, then one must go to the general work after all."
