3.92

因曬麥，問僧：「曬了也未？」僧云：「了也。」師云：「饅頭從爾橫咬竪咬，不離這裏道將一句來。」代云：「新麥麫少喫。」又云：「三事蒸作餬餅糖餅。」

While drying wheat in the sun, [the Master] asked a monk, "Is the sunning finished?"
The monk said, "It is finished."
The Master said, "Whether you bite the steamed bun horizontally or vertically, without leaving this place, utter a phrase!"
Answering on their behalf, he said, "Eat little of the new wheat flour."
He also said, "The three items are steamed into flatbreads and sweet cakes."
