3.98

因修藏，問僧：「作麼生是藏？」僧應喏，師云：「這箇是藏脚，還我藏來。」無對。代云：「爭得不修藏。」又云：「玉。」

On the occasion of repairing the canon, [the Master] asked a monk, "What is the canon?"
The monk answered, "Yes?"
The Master said, "This is the foot of the canon. Return the canon to me!"
There was no reply.
Answering on their behalf, he said, "How could one not repair the canon?"
He also said, "Jade."
