1.51

師問僧甚處來。僧云：「幽州。」師云：「我恰要箇幽州信米作麼價？」僧云：「某甲來時，無端從市中過，踏折他橋梁。」師便休。（侯寧勇云：「放爾三十棒。」）

The Master asked a monk where he had come from.
The monk said, "Youzhou."
The Master said, "I just happen to need news from Youzhou. What is the price of rice there?"
The monk said, "When I came, for no reason I passed through the market and trampled down their bridge."
The Master then stopped. (Houning Yong said, "I let you off thirty blows of the staff.")
