舉：「南泉問維那：『今日普請作甚麼？』對云：『拽磨。』南泉云：『磨從爾拽，不得動著磨中心樹子。』維那無語。」師代云：「恁麼即不拽也。」

[The Master] cited: "Nanquan asked the karmadāna, 'What are we doing in today's communal work?' He replied, 'Pulling the mill.' Nanquan said, 'Let the mill be pulled as you will, but you must not stir the spindle in the center of the mill.' The karmadāna was silent." The Master spoke in his place: "In that case, we will not pull it."
