舉：「昔有一老宿云：『這一片田地，分付來多時也，我立地，待汝搆去。』」師云：「山僧如今坐地，待汝搆去，還有道理也無？那箇親，那箇疎，試裁斷看。」

He cited: "In the past, a senior monk said: 'This piece of land has been entrusted for a long time; I stand here waiting for you to grasp it.'" The Master said, "If this mountain monk now sits here waiting for you to grasp it, is there still any principle or not? Which is intimate, and which is distant? Try to judge and decide."
