「佛陀波利遊臺，到忻州東，見一老人問：『師向什麼處去？』對云：『臺山禮拜文殊去。』老人云：『大德，見文殊還識也無？』無對。」代云：「今日慶幸。」

"Buddhagavāpṛti traveled to Mount Wutai. Arriving east of Xinzhou, he met an old man who asked: 'Where is the master going?' He replied: 'I am going to Mount Wutai to pay homage to Mañjuśrī.' The old man said: 'Great Worthy, if you see Mañjuśrī, will you recognize him?' He had no answer." Replacing [the original words], he said: "Today is truly fortunate."
