「羅睺羅行化到摩竭國，手執一竿，竿懸一幡，在人前立，人問：『汝是什麼人？』云：『我是一切智人。』眾皆無語。」代云：「自憐不覺醜。」

"Rāhula traveled to convert people in the kingdom of Magadha. Holding a pole in his hand with a banner hanging from it, he stood before the people. Someone asked: 'What kind of person are you?' He said: 'I am an omniscient person.' The crowd was entirely speechless." Replacing [the original words], he said: "Pitying himself, he did not realize his own ugliness."
