「梁武帝請傅大士講經，大士儼然，帝曰：『請大士與朕講經，為什麼不講？』誌公云：『大士講經畢。』」代云：「講得甚好。」
"Emperor Wu of Liang invited Mahāsattva Fu to lecture on the sūtras. The Mahāsattva sat solemnly. The Emperor said: 'We invited the Mahāsattva to lecture on the sūtras for Us; why do you not lecture?' Master Baozhi said: 'The Mahāsattva has finished lecturing on the sūtras.'" Replacing [the original words], he said: "He lectured extremely well."
