「大士講經次，帝來，諸人總起，大士端坐，臣問：『帝來何不起？』大士云：『法地若動，萬法不安。』」代云：「解說道理。」

"While the Mahāsattva was lecturing on the sūtras, the Emperor arrived. Everyone rose, but the Mahāsattva remained sitting upright. A minister asked: 'The Emperor has arrived; why do you not rise?' The Mahāsattva said: 'If the Dharma ground moves, the myriad dharmas will not be at peace.'" Replacing [the original words], he said: "He truly understands how to explain the principle."
