「杏山問甘贄行者：『什麼處來？』云：『臺山來。』『還見文殊麼？』云：『見。』云：『見爾道什麼？』云：『道：闍梨父母臥在荊棘林中。』」代云：「著槽廠去。」

"Xingshan asked the postulant Ganzhi: 'Where have you come from?' He said: 'I have come from Mount Tai.' 'Did you see Mañjuśrī?' He said: 'I saw him.' [Xingshan] said: 'What did he say when he saw you?' He said: 'He said: "The ācārya's parents are lying in a briar patch."'" Replacing [Xingshan's words], he said: "Go to the feeding trough!"
