「百丈見僧看經，云：『到甚處？』云：『廣百論。』師云：『知諸法唯心，便捨外塵相，作麼生說箇捨底道理。』」代云：「豈悋。」

"Baizhang saw a monk reading a scripture and said: 'What point have you reached?' He said: 'The *Śataśāstra-vaipulya* (*Guang bailun*).' The Master said: 'Knowing that all phenomena are mind-only, one then abandons external dust-like characteristics; how do you explain the principle of abandonment?'" Replacing [the monk's words], he said: "How could one be stingy?"
