上堂，舉：「雲門問僧：『今日供養羅漢，羅漢還來也無？』僧無語，門代云：『三門頭合掌，佛殿裡燒香。』」師云：「歸宗即不然，有水皆含月，無山不帶雲。且道是同是別？」

Ascending the hall, [the Master] brought up [the following]: "Yunmen asked a monk, 'Today offerings are being made to the arhats; will the arhats come or not?' The monk had no reply. Yunmen answered on his behalf: 'Palms joined at the main gate; incense burned in the Buddha hall.'" The Master said, "Guizong would not say so. Wherever there is water, it holds the moon; nowhere is there a mountain without clouds. Tell me, are they the same or different?"
