舉：「智門遊山回，首座與眾出行接，座云：『和尚遊山，巇嶮不易。』門拈拄杖云：『全得這箇力。』座乃進前奪却拋向一邊，門放身便倒，大眾遂進前扶起。門拈拄杖，一時趁散，迴顧侍者云：『向爾道，全得這箇力。』」師云：「智門雖然會起會倒，不覺弄巧成拙。」

He brought up [the following]: "When Zhimon returned from roaming the mountains, the head monk went out with the assembly to receive him. The head monk said, 'It has not been easy for the Venerable to roam the mountains along perilous crags.' Zhimon held up his staff and said, 'It entirely relies on this power.' The head monk then stepped forward, snatched it away, and threw it aside. Zhimon let his body fall to the ground. The assembly then stepped forward to help him up. Zhimon took his staff, chased them all away at once, turned to his attendant, and said, 'I told you, it entirely relies on this power.'" The Master said, "Although Zhimon knew how to get up and fall down, without realizing it, he overreached himself and ended in folly."
