上堂云：「紫霄峯上黑雲靉靆，鄱陽湖裡白浪滔天，一氣無作而作，萬法不然而然，更若擬誼思量，迢迢十萬八千。」下座。

Ascending the hall, he said: "Dense black clouds gather over Zixiao Peak; white waves surge to the heavens in Poyang Lake. A single breath acts without acting; the ten thousand phenomena are so without being so. If you further deliberate and calculate, you are distant by a hundred and eight thousand [li]." He descended from the seat.
