1.22

上堂，云：「一即一切，一切即一。」拈起拄杖云：「吞却山河大地了也。過去諸佛，未來諸佛，天下老和尚，總在拄杖頭上。」遂以拄杖劃一劃云：「不消一喝。」

Ascending the hall, he said: “One is all; all is one.” Holding up his staff, he said: “I have swallowed up the mountains, rivers, and the great earth. The buddhas of the past, the buddhas of the future, and all the old venerable monks under heaven are entirely on the tip of this staff.” He then drew a line with the staff and said: “It does not take even a single shout.”
