上堂，云：「萬法本閑，唯人自鬧。」以拄杖卓一下云：「大眾！好看火燭，明眼人前，不得錯舉。」

Ascending the hall, he said: “The myriad phenomena are fundamentally at leisure; it is only people who agitate themselves.” Planting his staff once, he said: “Assembly! Mind the fire and candles! In the presence of someone with clear eyes, you must not quote it erroneously.”
