出隊歸上堂云：「出隊半箇月，眼不見鼻孔，忘却祖師禪，拾得箇骨董。且道向什麼處著？一分奉釋迦牟尼佛，一分奉多寶佛塔。」

Returning from an alms expedition, he ascended the hall and said: "Out on expedition for half a month, my eyes did not see my nostrils. Forgetting the Patriarchal Chan, I picked up some junk. Tell me, where should it be placed? One portion is offered to Śākyamuni Buddha; one portion is offered to the Stūpa of Prabhūtaratna Buddha."
