上堂云：「神通妙用不欠絲毫，通人分上何用忉忉，泥多佛大水長船高。」

Ascending the hall, he said, "Supernatural powers and wondrous functions lack not a thread; / For an adept, what need for endless prattle? / Much mud makes a big Buddha; high water raises the boat."
