桐樹郭宅請陞座云：「桐林郭評事，家門幸食祿，性靜好吾宗，溫良如美玉，封疏請諸山，營齋殖洪福。二人長老共談玄，正值陽和二月天，渴鹿飲溪氷作水，野猿啼樹霧成煙，黃梅路上多知己，今日同乘般若船。乘船即不無，且道說箇什麼事？幸遇三春明媚，因行不妨掉臂，囉邏哩囉邏哩。」乃拍手大笑云：「是何曲調萬年歡。」

Invited by the Guo household of Tongshu to ascend the seat, he said: "Commentator Guo of Tonglin, / Blessed with official emoluments for his family, / Has a calm nature and loves our lineage, / Gentle and good as fine jade; / Sealing invitations to summon the various monasteries, / He provides a vegetarian feast to cultivate vast merit. / Two elders converse on the profound together, / Right in the harmonious warmth of the second month's sky. / Thirsty deer drink from the stream where ice turns to water; / Wild apes cry in the trees as mist turns to smoke. / On the road to Huangmei there are many kindred spirits; / Today we ride together in the boat of prajñā. / Riding in the boat is certainly so, but tell me, what matter are they discussing? / Fortunate to encounter the bright beauty of late spring, / Walking along, why not swing our arms? / Luoluo-li, luoluo-li!" He then clapped his hands, laughed heartily, and said, "What melody is this 'Ten Thousand Years of Joy'?"
