炙茄會上堂云：「六月三伏天，火雲布郊野，松間臨水坐，解帶同歡奲。毳侶弄荷花，賓朋傾玉斚，紅塵事繁華，碧洞何瀟洒。重會在明年，相期莫相捨，白雲曾有約，願結青蓮社。」

Ascending the hall for the roast eggplant gathering, he said: "In the sixth month, during the dog days of summer, / Fiery clouds spread across the countryside. / Sitting by the water among the pines, / Loosening our sashes in shared delight. / Monks in patched robes play with lotus blossoms; / Guests and friends tilt jade cups. / Affairs of the red dust are bustling and luxurious, / But how carefree and elegant is the emerald cavern! / We will meet again next year; / Let us look forward to it and not abandon each other. / Baiyun once made an agreement: / Wishing to form a Blue Lotus Society."
