2.98

與能表白起喪云：「本是儞送我，今朝我送儞，生死是尋常，推倒又扶起。」至墳所，復謂眾云：「今朝正當三月八，送殯之人且聽說，君看陌上桃花紅，盡是離人眼中血。」

Raising the funeral procession for the reciter Neng, he said, "Originally it was you who should send me off; / Today it is I who send you off. / Life and death are ordinary matters: / Pushed down, then helped back up." Reaching the gravesite, he addressed the assembly again, saying, "Today is precisely the eighth day of the third month; / Let those sending off the funeral listen: / Look at the peach blossoms red along the road— / They are all the blood in the eyes of departing ones."
