上堂云：「窮諸玄辯，若一毫致於太虛；竭世樞機，似一滴投於巨壑，不如歇去好。還會麼？客亭不遠。」
Ascending the hall, he said: "Exhausting all mysterious dialectic is like placing a single hair in great emptiness; depleting worldly crucial mechanisms is like dropping a single drop into a giant ravine. It is better to rest. Do you understand yet? The guest pavilion is not far."
