上堂云：「青蘿夤緣，直上寒松之頂；白雲淡泞，出沒太虛之中。」師拈起拄杖云：「國師眼睛在者裏，瞌睡漢七穿八穴，甚處得來？」

Ascending the hall, he said: "Green vines climb upward, rising straight to the top of the cold pine; white clouds drift leisurely, appearing and disappearing in great emptiness." The Master raised his staff and said: "The National Teacher's eye is right here. Sleepy fellows, with seven punctures and eight holes, where did it come from?"
