上堂云：「乾坤把定即不無爾，作麼生是手擎日月底句？」又云：「周遊四天下道我知有，須彌頂上著得幾人。」復云：「舉步已經諸佛剎，是爾草鞋踏破多少。」

Ascending the hall, he said, "Holding fast to heaven and earth is not without you, but what is the phrase of holding the sun and moon in your hand?" He also said, "Traveling through the four continents and claiming 'I know it exists'—how many people can Sumeru's peak accommodate?" He further said, "Lifting your feet, you have already passed through the Buddha-lands—how many pairs of straw sandals have you worn out?"
