有時豎起拄杖云：「洪機在掌，排巨靈擘太華之峯。」復橫按云：「明鏡當臺，絕演若逐東西之徑。」又以拄杖一劃云：「比擬張麟，兔亦不遇。」便下座。

At times he raised his staff and said, "The grand mechanism in the palm drives Juling to split the peak of Mount Taihua." Again holding it horizontally, he said, "The bright mirror on its stand cuts off Yajñadatta's path of chasing east and west." Again drawing a line with his staff, he said, "Aiming to capture a qilin, one does not even encounter a rabbit." Then he stepped down from his seat.
