上堂云：「不與一法作對，便是無諍三昧。或是箇漢，聞我舉著，悉能坐斷，有甚麼近處？雖然如此，向後莫辜負人好。」便下座。

Ascending the hall, he said, "Not setting oneself against a single dharma is precisely the samādhi of non-contention. If you are such a fellow, hearing me cite it, you can sit and cut it off completely—what proximity is there? Even so, later on, do not let others down." Then he stepped down from his seat.
