問僧：「近離甚處？」僧云：「天台。」師云：「還見智者麼？」僧云：「見。」師云：「為什麼在我脚底？」僧無語，師云：「脫空妄語。」

He asked a monk, "Where have you recently come from?" The monk said, "Tiantai." The master said, "Did you see Zhiyi?" The monk said, "I saw him." The master said, "Why is he beneath my feet?" The monk had no words. The master said, "Empty lies and false speech."
