或云：「諸佛有難炭庫裏，眾生有難火焰裏，儞衲僧不得動著。」代云：「魯般繩墨。」

Or he would say: "When the Buddhas are in difficulty, they are in the charcoal shed; when sentient beings are in difficulty, they are in the blazing flames. You patch-robed monks must not move!" Speaking on their behalf, he said: "Lu Ban's ink marking line."
