4.71

師一日問僧：「諸方道不得底句，儞作麼生道？」僧云：「天平地平。」云：「漝麼則王老師不如儞。」僧無語，師云：「只道得一半。」

The master one day asked a monk: "How do you speak the phrase that all places cannot utter?" The monk said: "Heaven is level, earth is level." The master said: "If so, then Old Teacher Wang does not measure up to you." The monk was silent. The master said: "You have only said half of it."
