師一日問僧：「儞見雪竇後錄未？」僧云：「見了。」師云：「向甚處見我？」僧云：「也知和尚是川中人。」師將拄杖打一下云：「夢見。」

One day the master asked a monk: "Have you seen the Later Records of Xuedou?" The monk said: "I have seen it." The master said: "Where do you see me?" The monk said: "I also know the upādhyāya is a person from Sichuan." The master struck him once with the staff and said: "Seen in a dream."
