動絃別曲，聞一知十，手搦手擡，以膠投漆，庵內不見庵外，無孔鐵槌不會，人生相識貴知音，水入水兮金博金。

Plucking the strings, he distinguishes the tune; / hearing one, he knows ten. / Holding hands and raising hands, / like pitch thrown into lacquer. / Inside the hermitage not seeing outside the hermitage— / a hole-less iron mallet does not understand. / In human life, acquaintances treasure knowing the tune; / water into water, gold bartered for gold.
