19.37

舉：「靈雲見桃華悟道有頌：『三十年來尋劍客，幾回葉落又抽枝，自從一見桃華後，直至如今更不疑。』玄沙云：『諦當甚諦當，敢保老兄未徹在。』」

[Yuanwu] brought up [the case]: "Lingyun, upon seeing peach blossoms, was enlightened to the Way and had a verse: 'For thirty years I sought a master of swords; / how many times have leaves fallen and twigs sprouted anew? / Ever since I once saw the peach blossoms, / right up to now I have doubted no more.' Xuansha said, 'Quite exact, exceedingly exact; but I dare guarantee that the elder brother has not yet penetrated through.'"
