19.41

舉：「三聖問雪峯：『透網金鱗以何為食？』峯云：『待汝出網來向爾道。』聖云：『一千五百人善知識，話頭也不識。』峯云：『老僧住持事煩。』」

[Yuanwu] brought up [the case]: "Sansheng asked Xuefeng, 'What does the golden fish that has passed through the net eat for food?' Xuefeng said, 'Wait until you emerge from the net, and then I will tell you.' Sansheng said, 'A kalyāṇamitra of fifteen hundred people, yet you do not even recognise a dialogue topic (huatou).' Xuefeng said, 'This old monk's abbot duties are troublesome.'"
