5.33

上堂，舉：「盤山和尚道：『似地擎山，不知山之孤峻；如石含玉，不知玉之無瑕。若能如是，是真出家。』」師云：「育王即不然，若能如是，揑目生華。」

Ascending the hall, he cited: "Reverend Panshan said: 'Like the earth bearing mountains, unaware of the mountains' solitary steepness; like a stone containing jade, unaware of the jade's lack of flaws. If one can be like this, this is true home-leaving.'"
The Master said, "Ayuwang is not so. If one can be like this, it is pressing the eyes to produce flowers."
