上堂：「今朝三月十五，已得如膏之雨，農夫鼓腹歌謠，萬象森羅起舞。敢問大眾：農夫鼓腹，理合如是；萬象森羅，因甚麼起舞？還委悉麼？不見道：『一家有好事，引得百家忙。』」

Ascending the hall, [the Master] said: "Today is the fifteenth day of the third month, and we have already received rich, fertile rain; the farmers drum on their bellies and sing ballads, while the myriad phenomena of the universe rise and dance. Dare I ask the great assembly: that the farmers drum on their bellies is as reason dictates, but on what account do the myriad phenomena rise and dance? Do you understand? Have you not heard it said: 'A single family having a joyful event keeps a hundred families busy'?"
