解夏示眾：「洞山萬里一條鐵，瀏陽一擊百雜碎，雲門關字常現前，翠巖眉毛在不在。」乃舉拂子云：「雲門大師來也。還見麼？」擊禪床云：「一彩兩賽。」

At the conclusion of the summer retreat, instructing the assembly, [the Master] said: "Dongshan's ten thousand miles of a single strip of iron; Liuyang's one blow shattering into a hundred pieces; Master Yunmen's character 'Guan' constantly manifesting; are Cuiyan's eyebrows still there or not?" He then raised the fly-whisk and said, "Great Master Yunmen has arrived. Do you see him yet?" Striking the meditation couch, he said, "One throw, two winning rolls."
