8.16

示眾：「舉一不得舉二，放過一著，落在第二。遇貴則賤，遇賤則貴，築著磕著，沒處回避。南嶽天台去路通，君向西兮我向東，風從虎兮雲從龍。」喝一喝云：「拈起簸箕別處舂，熨斗煎茶銚不同。」

He instructed the assembly: "Citing one, you must not cite two; letting one move pass, you fall into the second. Meeting the noble, it is cheap; meeting the cheap, it is noble. Colliding and bumping, there is nowhere to evade it. The road to Nanyue and Tiantai is open: you go west and I go east; the wind follows the tiger, the clouds follow the dragon." He gave a shout and said: "Picking up the winnowing basket, pound rice elsewhere; frying tea in an iron flatiron is not like using a kettle."
