1.10

上堂：「佛說一切法，為度一切心；我無一切心，何用一切法？既無心又無法，山河大地甚處得來？見聞覺知復是何物？」乃喝一喝云：「臨崖看滸眼，特地一場愁。」

Ascending the hall: "'The Buddha preached all dharmas to save all minds; I have no mind whatsoever, what use have I for any dharma?' Since there is neither mind nor dharma, from where do the mountains, rivers, and the great earth come? What thing are seeing, hearing, perceiving, and knowing?" He then gave a shout and said, "Approaching the precipice to gaze at the riverbank, it is especially an occasion for sorrow."
